Lived Long and ProsperedThe great Leonard Nimoy has died, age 83.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31662024There’s not really much I can write about the chap or his impact on sci-fi culture that you’re not already aware of. We all knew and loved him as Spock from Star Trek. Hell, I named one of my webcomic’s characters after him.Nimoy never forgot about his fans, either, and how it is they who ensured his lasting popularity. It’s telling that it was he who cameoed in the recent Trek films and not Shatner.Being the awesome man he was, his final words to the public (by way of twitter) were “LLAP”.“Live Long and Prosper”.

Alumni TalkSo I went to this animation alumni talk thing today for my school. I left feeling inspired and horrified. There were plenty great success stories that got me pumped and made me want to work harder and just animate all day. There were also a lot of failure stories which made me worried about what kind of future I might have. All these alumni were no doubt very talented, but even so, for a lot of them, finding a job was very difficult just because the animation industry is beyond competitive and your skills have to be exactly what your director wants. If they don't like your style, you won't get hired there. Of course each studio is different and it depends on what kind of TV show, or commercial, movie you work on. It was awesome being able to talk to these people and hearing about their journeys. I got to hear about some people working for FOX on Bob's Burgers, people working at ADHD (who did this video which I love), and pe

Anniversary Joy! ^_^ DnD Commission o'doom!^_^Today is mine and the hubby's 8th wedding anniversary, and in November it'll be our 10th being together overall.I can honestly say that I'm surprised how well we've grown together, how much more we love another now. He proposed a month after we'd started dating, and back then, everyone thought we were nuts. But what can I say? Sometimes it just is that simple. This was our anniversary present to each other ( my hubby and me) was to commission the amazing Lee for a group of our current DnD party:Sheer glorious awesomeness, we're so happy! Thank you Lee ! :http://pariahsdream.deviantart.com/art/And-Years-to-Come-97302882We've been playing together... over three years? We've play tested tons of things, changed chars over the years -- but over all, just been a great group of friends and a source of relaxation. Also, incase the pimpage wasn't made -- here you can find info on Lee's commissions ( though I believe she isn't taking anymore for 3+ chars, ladidah)http://
