Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

My Drow BJD, Jar'Aun has been sitting in his box for way too long now, so I've decided that its a good time to re-home him. Retail his parts would go for about $500, but I'm putting him on auction on Ebay for MIN BID $75.

I really hope that someone will give him a great home for the holidays, and hopefully got a great price too.

Now the details - Jar'Aul is a RAAM body ( 58 cm doll) with a LE Finn Head ( designed by me, sculpted by D.I.M.).

Both were dyed by me, but different resins take slightly different tones, so you can see he's not one consistently the same shade throughout ( but hey, don't most of us have tanlines ?

)

He is anatomically correct.

The faceup attempt is shown, and certainly amateurish, but it worked for my character.

You're welcome to wipe it and make your own, but as the head is dyed I really don't know how it will react to other chemicals. Faceup was done with acrylics.

If auction goes over $100 at least ( or if you're a personal friend.

) I'll be happy to add the gold glass eyes and wig shown in the pics.

He will come naked - however, I'm happy to make him a very basic loincloth for modesty's sake.

Just let me know a colour and I'll root through my fabrics.

Shipping should be about $25 in Northamerica.
